Three weeks ago, Samsung launched the Android 12 update for the Galaxy S10 series. The update has since been extended to more countries around the world. In South Korea and the United States, Samsung has now launched the Android 12 update for the Galaxy S10 5G.
On Verizon's network, the Android 12-based One UI 4.0 upgrade for the carrier-locked version of the Galaxy S10 5G is now available. The January 2022 security patch is included in firmware version G977UVRU8GULD. The smartphone is receiving the Android 12 upgrade in South Korea via firmware version G977NKSU6GULB, however it only has the December 2021 security patch.
You can also manually flash the firmware file using a Windows computer by downloading it from SamMobile's database.
In early 2019, Samsung released the Galaxy S10 5G. It's the world's first 5G smartphone, yet it's only available in a few countries. The phone came pre-installed with Android 9. It got the Android 10 upgrade in 2020, the Android 11 update in early 2021, and the One UI 4.0 update based on Android 12 in early 2022. There will be no major Android OS updates for it in the future.
