NASA's Artemis I Lunar Mission Is Finally Taking Place After Several Delays.

The launch of NASA's first Space Launch System (SLS) rocket for the Artemis program, a human spaceflight mission aimed at returning humans to the Moon, has been awaited for a long time.

The project began at the request of former President Donald Trump and was named after the twin sister of NASA's Apollo lunar expedition. Given that the last crewed lunar landing mission, Apollo 17, occurred in 1972, the Artemis program refocuses our attention on the Moon.

The return to the Moon is important because its explorations will serve as a testbed for technologies and resources that will help humankind get to Mars and beyond. As Neil Armstrong said, "That's one small step for man; one giant leap for mankind."
