Humankind has always been intrigued by the possibility of life in space. Planets in our solar system have a slim chance of survival. Studying exoplanets, or worlds outside our solar system, on the other hand, tests the limitations of our technology, at least for the time being. Exoplanet research have been done in recent decades, and one has been discovered to have an atmosphere similar to that of Earth.
