The issuing of a Visa cryptocurrency debit card has been formally announced by FTX. Cardholders can now make zero-fee transactions with their own cryptocurrencies anywhere in the world using this new method of payment “24 hours a day, 365 days a year.” Users can already join the waiting list.
FTX has announced that there will be no transaction processing or administration fees. Instead, during point-of-sale transactions, cryptocurrencies kept in FTX accounts will be instantly converted to the relevant fiat currency.
An exchange that competes with FTX, Coinbase, formerly worked with Visa. The latter will shortly offer a debit card for citizens of the United States, although there will be several differences: A 4% cashback has already been revealed by Coinbase.
Users of Binance can already order a ready-made card, which comes with no commission and up to 8% cashback depending on the region of registration.
