Samsung unveiled its latest flagship smartphones today, a few weeks later than last year and following weeks of web rumors. A powerful hybrid model with a 108-megapixel camera, inbuilt S Pen, and sunlight-readable display tops the Galaxy S22 range.
Samsung says it used two series of its smartphones to build the S22 Ultra, combining the finest features of the Note and S series to create "the most powerful Ultra device Samsung has ever created."
As a result, the design language is influenced by the Note's sharp angles, with a space underneath for the company's fastest and most responsive S Pen to date, as well as a fairly large screen for handwritten notes and doodles.
The sunlight-readable peak brightness of the 6.8-inch QHD+ AMOLED display is 1,750 nits, with technology that intelligently adjusts screen brightness throughout the day. It also has a 120 Hz refresh rate for games and a 240 Hz touch sampling rate.
