         MY TRAVEL STORY PROFILE

My name is Odukwu Prince Odukwu. I am a Nigerian and a final year student of Rivers State University, Port Harcourt, Nigeria. I am a content writer, songwriter, a singer, a speaker, and story teller. I inspire. In summary, creative writing is what I do. I paint pictures with words in the heart of my readers. I consider words my tools and the hearts of my audience my canvas, on which i paint and scribe imageries.

As a higly-motivated content writer, I've written for a few blogs and i have done content writing for some upcoming brands too. I also write for the Editorial team of Mouldbreak Institute. I see words as the core of our being, as the steering with which we must chart the course of our paths, be it successful or unsuccessful.

My appetite for knowledge, adventure and penetrative insight is insatiable and my reading habit has acquainted me to many different writing styles and has also helped me understand some of the nuances of diversified writing genres.

However, story telling more significantly, has become one of the essence of life to me, and since I live each day being inspired by things around me, that drives and fortifies me with the requisite view to communicate perfectly to the audience to whom I write to or situation I write about.

I am of ardent believe that we can change the world through stories and am stuck on redefining the slanted and naive depicted image of Africa, and I hope to document and bring to the fore it's many cultures, diversities and barely talked about uniqueness and qualities. I am generally concerned about creating memorable stories that gives hope, meaning and a sense of purpose to my world and i want to promote this via my writings.

I am Keen on volunteer for activities that gears towards the betterment of society. I am currently an active volunteer for "My Environment My Wealth" here in Port Harcourt City, Nigeria. Also, i am a part of the YALI (Young African Leaders Initiative) Network and i hope to use every single avenue to contribute my own quota to making the world a better place.

I find it a great opportunity to be a part of the Village Story Competition 2019, and to develop content that is relevant and engaging through my skill set, imaginative and creative expressions. I feel excited and elated already about the Competition!
